Nazar Mein Rehtey Ho Jab Tum Nazar Nahin Aatey… The Grand Aman Project

Recently after flicking channels about, which I normally do when I don’t have anything to do, I came across this amazing video which had a great song and mind you, two of my favourite singers (Shanker Mahadevan and Rahet Fateh Ali) singing. At first I thought that it is some kind of movie trailer going on but my perception did not seem to make any sense for a movie trailer does not reluctantly have still shots to focus on.
The video had everything to capture my attention and I, even wanting to switch the channel, couldn’t do so as the lyrics were slowly casting its spell around my conscious and the sweet melody that flowed through my hearing had the effect so powerful that it made me watch the whole video. Undoubtedly, I became one of its very victim and soon found out that it wasnt a trailer of some despicable Indo-Pak friendship themed movie but a real-time effort to diversify our attention and mind in sorting out what really this theme means and how to go about it. This is obviously my own assumption and I simply do not expect you to agree with what I think but you would definitely agree with me on the point that no matter how unrealistic the theme sounds, the video gives out a strong yet affirmative message. The Jang Group and the Times of India has lighten one small candle of hope, and the message has been received and yet acted upon that too my our neighbors (which is something worth admiring).
But the trailer doesnt seem to end here. The word “Conspiracy” is still hanging a thread here. Some say, its just to manipulate our minds to something which is not going to be so overwhelming for us, that its just a dejavu for us. Seemingly this can be of duo meaning, hatred and love both, co-existing together (can they co-exist? I doubt). I ran my juggling eyes through the lyrics and somehow I managed to decide that they too have a very strong meaning and a very strong message to get across to.
Dikhayi dete hain duur tak ab bhi saaye koi
Magar bulaane se waqt lautey na aaye koi
Chalo na phir se bichhayein dariyaan bajayein dholak
Lagake mehendi sureeley tappe sunayein koi
Patang udayein chhatton pe chadh ke muhalley waaley
Falak to saanjha hai us mein penche ladayein koi
Utho kabaddi kabbadi khelenge sahardon par
Jo aye abke to laut kar phir na jaye koi
Nazar mein rehtey ho jab tum nazar nahin aatey
Yeh sur milaatey hain jab tum idhar nahin aatey
Nazar mein rehtey ho jab tum nazar nahin aatey
Yeh sur bulaatey hain jab tum idhar nahin aatey
What do you say, after all that has been happening here, the troubles and the utmost worries, the never-ending darkness of depression and hopelessness, do we stand a chance here? Can we trust them? Or is it just simple manipulation and in the end, devastation for us. Think about it …
