Ufone Spampaign: Spamming The Pakistani Blogosphere!
I don’t know what is wrong with the Telecom Sector in Pakistan? In order to try and get hold of social media, they have been trying everything possible left, right and centre! Although, some of them have been trying their best to understand the mechanics of social media, the rest continue to be shameless to reach out to the audiences. Even if they have to spam everyone to reach their objectives. This is an extremely shameful act by such big companies.
After the Wateen Spampaign was blown up by the bloggers in Pakistan, it seems that either Ufone never learnt a lesson out of that or they are were never connected to the blogosphere enough to even find out what the story was all about. I would have loved to discuss the Wateen Spampaign here, but I don’t want to drag this article too much, and would rather jump to the current Ufone Spampaign.
Check out the multiple images of the Ufone Spampaign being spammed by some so called social media idiots who don’t even know what the medium is all about. It blew my mind away when I saw this comment on one of my previous Ufone posts here on PakMediaBlog. The comments link back to the UConnect webpage on the Ufone website.
The spammers have been a little intelligent this time as they only pasted the comments on the blog posts that had the keywords Ufone in it. The following are a few links that these spam comments can be found on:

Is this what social media means to you? I mean for God’s sake, grow up guys! If you don’t know how to do things right, or don’t pick up a social media project if you don’t have the expertise on. Get mature and try and understand the medium and the domain that you are trying to enter, because if you don’t do that… there is a big chance that the brand’s reputation gets screwed!
