Sunsilk – Can You Dare To Wear Your Hair?
Have you ever done something daring? Something that lets you stand out and be known for who you are? Well … if you haven’t as yet, now is the time to give yourself a different outlook. Hair represents you, and how you carry your hair tells a lot about you and your overall personality; and Sunsilk’s new ad campaign “Dare to Wear Your Hair!” is just about that.
Sunsilk is a brand that has always made the girls look proud and have associated itself as a brand full of style. This campaign is yet another example of Sunsilk’s strategy. It is great to see that the core positioning of the brand remains the same with new ideas/areas being exploited. The campaign has been released on TV with a sparkling ad and has also made its way through on the Internet on an online activation again. Check the TVC of this campaign below:
It’s great to see that Sunsilk has been exploring the digital medium quite regularly in its recent campaigns. One successful execution was of the previous campaign “Sunsilk – Fight Hair Hunger,” which attracted a lot of interest from the end users. The best part about the “Dare to Wear” execution is that they have built up on the previous campaign. The current online execution is done in the form of a website again. The website is named “Sunsilk Dare“ and can be accessed at http://www.sunsilkdare.com/
The website is very nicely made with brand colors and it calls for an action by the users to upload their pictures with a funky hairstyle “holding a Sunsilk – Pink bottle.” The winner will get a pink Karma dress with advice from Maheen Kardar Ali. Finally a prize that will appeal to girls more and associates the brand with fashion and style. The users can also share their hair dares on the website with a dare submit option. And to further add to this, the website is also linked to Facebook so people can share their dares with their friends. Do check out the Sunsilk Fan Page on Facebook as well… its just started out but it could be something to watch out for.
Its great to see a brand in Pakistan that is starting to realize the potential of online activation. Hats off to the whole team for an amazing execution of this campaign.
